Ab Tak Chhappan 2 review - yawn! Crash!

Once you leave the movie-hall, if you have made the mistake of going there to watch this, in the first place, make sure you wash off your "paap" by watching the classic Ab Tak Chhappan, made by the brilliant Shimit Amin, as soon as you reach home. LOL!

I think it was totally justified that only five of us were in the theatre's mini-balcony, that evening.

Even a 5-year old might have done a better job with the camera; it was that shaky and even spotty in several places.

Nana Patekar - I'm pretty sure each and every one of us that's seen the movie went there only to watch him on the big screen. I was bummed that Shimit Amin was not the director this time; and boy, even though Nana is watchable, he looks tired, with dark circles, just like the script (or the lack of it!), for the most part.

The music and the cinematography would remind one of Ram Gopal Varma, like he was haunting you at the deserted theatre. (The Exorcist is a better choice, trust me, if at all you desire a haunting!)

Vikram Gokhale was such a fine actor, once upon a time. He plays a stereotype greedy politician, here, and chooses not to make his role interesting; so much so that it's so obvious from the first scene who the antagonist is... In fact, I think one cannot even put up an act, 'wondering' who it could be, at gun-point!

Ashutosh Rana - another terrific ACTOR who sadly is wasted in a character role that's as dry as vada being made without oil.

As for Govind Namdeo - looks like he'd be just as speechless as he seems in the movie, about his role.

Sandeep Chowta's music is so boring that you wonder why he cannot produce anything new and exciting. His work (if you want to call it that) seemed passion-less, like an IT professional, who's been working in the same project for over seven years. :))

Even in the times of the Companys and the Ds, or in the early part of the millennium, when movies on the underworld were at it's peak, this movie would have still been pointless, with dull action sequences and a weak storyline.

One guy was heard commenting how glad he was that the movie-ticket did not even cost a hundred Rupees, for that show. Yawn!
