"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" review - lacklustre and a Bollywood masala flick!

No charm this. There is a dialogue in the film, "Nobody cares about Clark Kent taking on the Batman." Can't be truer!

How I remembered The Dark Knight! This one misses not only a good story, but also a strong character like The Joker. Or even close.

Music is usually an integral part of such movies, especially the last few Batman movies. But Hans Zimmer's music also fails, and is no inspiration here.

Ben Affleck has only one expression - read d-e-a-d-p-a-n.

I got a feeling that the memorable chemistry between Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst in Spider-Man may never be repeated. One cannot help but notice the lack of magic between Clark Kent and Lois Lane in this film. Amy Adams really doesn't have much to do here. Similarly, Gal Gadot. Pray, why was Wonder Woman even needed in the movie?! I was as confused as Batman and Superman were during the climax.

Diane Lane still looks very pretty but her role is ala Raakhi. LOL!

As for Superman himself, I enjoyed watching Henry Cavill more in The Man from U.N.C.L.E, though he has put in great effort here.

How many of you were reminded of Shahrukh Khan watching Jesse Eisenberg, and how many of y'all thought Jeremy Irons resembled Robert Downey Jr., ?! :D

And did many of you, like me, miss the good old combination of Christian Bale and Michael Caine combination? Wasn't than duo priceless? Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons, here, were... meh!

If two popular comic book superheroes are to be brought together in one movie, it's gotta be one helluva script. And more time, as it otherwise doesn't do justice to either.

And if the Batman series (in films) has to be revived, it would take a resurrection from a certain Christopher Nolan... or his likes. The only pluses with Zack Snyder's direction are the 3-D technology and the action sequences.

I'm glad they didn't add more masala and make Batman and Superman brothers! If you watch the film, you'll get the reference. And yes, talking of masala, this one is where the director takes liberty and makes Batman kill the bad guys.

The best thing about this movie was the trailer. Period. The rest is gibberish.

Verdict: 1.5 out of 5.
