Mufti Kannada film review - Summane build-up-pu, over-the-top heroics...

The background music roars, typical of  Ravi Basrur. But sadly, the actions don't match. Unnecessary build-up. And lift your hand, if you were for some reason reminded of the Sicario score. :)

The scenes with the heroine look frikkin' forced. And disrespectful in places!

Vasishta N. Simha is good, again, especially with his baritone, but is reduced to a caricature, unfortunately. He has had a great year, indeed, and hope to see more of him in the coming years.

Sri Muralii carries on from where he left off in Ugramm. He has a monotone and a grumpy look. Sincere but only one deadpan expression.

Shiva Rajkumar does full justice to his role, and the crowd goes bonkers when he lifts the machete.

Devraj begins off well, until his character is stereotyped, for no fault of his. He has the potential of the legendary Vajramuni in the villain-department.

The dialogues by are powerful and are rendered well by the actors. The song, in particular, caught my attention, and is well-shot. The brother-sister bonding is brought out very well by the director Narthan.

Editor Harish Komme and Director or Photography Naveen Kumar I have teamed well to give a technically sound final-cut of the film.

My verdict: 2.5 out of 5. Unnecessary action and stunts, and the focus could have been on more story than action.
